Beef on the Bone

Beef is a generic term for meat that is from bovine cattle, the cuts of beef from country to country will often vary, different countries have different cattle breeds and different climate conditions and cooking techniques vary. Beef on the bone is a cut of meat that is still attached to the bone. Some examples of beef on the bone cuts are T-Bone steaks, rib eye steaks, chuck steaks and brisket beef on the bone. The chuck steak is a cut from the upper shoulder whilst the brisket is a cut from the lower shoulder. Beef that is on the bone retains flavour especially if hung properly, once cooked all the flavours will be released making for a tasty cut of beef.
